I used to think those migraines were coming out of nowhere…but they were showing up for a reason.

Every time the tension with him went up, my head would start pounding. When his energy shifted, my body reacted before I did.

I blamed it on screens, work, “busy season,” dehydration —

anything except the relationship that was draining me.

Because admitting that meant admitting the truth:

My nervous system was exhausted from keeping up with his inconsistency.

And when the drama finally stopped,

the headaches slowly disappeared.

Not overnight… but enough for me to see that my body had been begging me to leave

long before my mind was ready.

It’s been over a year since my last migraine —

and that’s how I knew it wasn’t “random stress.”
