It might sound strange, but this practice helps me to break the cycle of constant self-judgment and allows me to see my feelings from a new perspective. During these moments, emotions like uncertainty or sadness come up, but instead of avoiding them, I try to observe them gently. This has helped me to better understand patterns in my behavior and mood that I might have missed otherwise. One key insight I experienced is that self-isolation isn’t about loneliness but is a form of self-care—an intentional pause. In today’s fast-paced world, we often don’t give ourselves permission to slow down internally. Taking time to 'isolate from myself' has been a unique way to reset and reconnect with my deeper needs. I’ve also found that this kind of solitude fosters creativity. Without the usual chatter of thoughts, new ideas and fresh perspectives arise naturally. It’s like clearing a fog to see the landscape within more clearly. If you’re someone who struggles with quiet moments or feels overwhelmed by constant mental noise, trying this approach could be helpful. Start with just a few minutes daily of mindful reflection—observe your thoughts without engaging or judging them. Over time, it may bring you a sense of peace and a richer relationship with yourself.
