How To Get Over A Breakup!!!

Breakups are hard no matter the situation or how long you were with the person. These are my best tips that can help you through it.

Confide in your friends and family! It is important to have support from others so you do not feel alone and can express your feelings. Stay busy so you are not sitting there thinking about it every second. Go no contact with the person. If the door is closed, DO NOT keep it open! You cannot linger in those feelings, it only makes things worse and take longer because the true cure is time. Feel your feelings!! Especially in the beginning, it is okay to be sad. Let yourself cry and feel and let it all out.

When you are ready, start doing some soul searching. This person was probably a huge part of your life and your life is different now. Learn about yourself by trying new things, going to new places, and meeting new people. All of these things will help you rediscover who you are and who you want to be.

I promise you will be okay. Sending love!!

... Read moreBreakups are undeniably one of life's toughest challenges, leaving us feeling lost, heartbroken, and often questioning everything. While the original article offers fantastic foundational advice, I want to dive a little deeper into how you can truly embrace those steps and emerge stronger on the other side. This isn't just about surviving; it's about thriving after heartbreak. Let's talk more about feeling your feelings. It’s easy to be told to 'let it all out,' but what does that really mean? For me, it meant allowing myself to truly grieve. Don't suppress the sadness, anger, confusion, or even relief. Try journaling – writing down everything you feel without judgment can be incredibly cathartic. Some days, I'd just listen to sad songs and cry, and that was okay. Other times, I'd write letters I never sent, expressing all the things I couldn't say directly. Remember, healing isn't linear; you'll have good days and bad days, and both are part of the process. Be patient and kind to yourself. When it comes to staying busy, it’s crucial to distinguish between healthy distraction and simply avoiding your emotions. Instead of just mindlessly scrolling, consider taking up a new hobby or revisiting an old passion. I started painting again and joined a local hiking group. These activities not only kept my mind engaged but also helped me meet new people and build a sense of accomplishment outside of my past relationship. Learn about yourself through these new experiences. What brings you joy now? What challenges excite you? This isn't about filling a void; it's about building a richer life for *you*. Going no contact with the person is often the hardest yet most effective step. It means not just blocking them on social media, but also resisting the urge to check their profiles, ask mutual friends about them, or reply to any breadcrumbs they might throw your way. If you share friends, communicate your boundaries clearly: "I need space to heal right now, so please don't update me on [ex-partner's name]." This isn't about being mean; it's about protecting your own emotional well-being and giving yourself the space needed to truly rediscover yourself without constant reminders of the past. Finally, remember that you'll be okay. This journey of self-discovery and healing is unique to everyone, and it takes time. Focus on building a routine that prioritizes your mental and physical health. This might include regular exercise, healthy eating, sufficient sleep, and spending quality time with those who uplift you. The OCR mentioned "confide in your friends & family" – really lean into that. Let them support you. You're not alone, and with each small step, you're moving closer to a stronger, happier, and more amazing version of yourself.

For sure for me it’s been a couple months and I keep beating myself up about things I should’ve stood up for myself about but I can’t keep doing that to myself. I deserve REAL love. 💕

How to finally move on from a breakup & start feeling like yourself again ❤️‍🩹
Moving on isn’t about waking up one day and feeling nothing. It’s about waking up and choosing yourself, even when the ache is still there. It’s the small decisions — deleting their number, saying no to the “what if” thoughts, filling the quiet moments with things that make you feel alive again

Get over him.
Temporary pain/ permanent after a heartbreak is normal. But it hurts when the person didn’t understand how to deal with you. It’s sad how small misunderstanding can ruin your relationship. It’s even sadder however when they don’t tell you the truth from the beginning. If you feel like someone isn’t

How to get through a breakup
Going through a breakup was like losing a part of myself, and the biggest lesson I learned was the importance of truly letting go. In the beginning, it was easy to get caught up in the pain, the “what-ifs,” and the memories. I had to remind myself that it’s okay to grieve—not just the relationship,
