... Read moreHaving attended the Japan Market Summer Edition, I can share that it's a delightful experience! The outdoor setting at the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza gives a refreshing ambiance, perfect for a day out with family or friends. I especially loved trying unique Japanese snacks – the Nitro Hojichal was a standout, with its smoky, rich flavor that's both soothing and energizing. Cake-ya's warabi mochi was a lovely sweet treat, soft and subtly flavored, showcasing traditional Japanese desserts beautifully. Aside from food, the variety of craft vendors truly enriches the experience. I found beautifully scented cypress bath bombs and hand-crafted candles that make perfect souvenirs or gifts. The market also featured unique items like the Wa-bagel, coffee cheesecake, and interesting sauces that blend traditional and modern flavors. For anyone interested in Japanese culture or looking for a vibrant market to explore in Vancouver, this event is a must-visit. It combines food, crafts, and culture in a family-friendly environment that truly celebrates Japan's rich heritage and culinary delights.
