They’ve added katsu sando $9.5, curry $14.5, and udon $14.5 to their menu too. Their pancakes turned out to be fluffy but not too airy, still "fuwa fuwa", it jiggles. The closest texture I can think of is the Hokkaido cheese steamed cake. The matcha sauce was really good, though.

👉️Pancake prices range from $14.25 to 15.25, and it takes about 20 minutes to make.

... Read moreIf you're a fan of unique Japanese breakfast and dessert spots, Fuwa Fuwa in Vancouver is a must-visit. Apart from their famed fluffy pancakes, they’ve incorporated comforting Japanese comfort foods like katsu sando, curry, and udon into their menu, which adds variety and heartiness for those seeking more than just sweets. From personal experience, the pancakes balance being fluffy without feeling too airy, resembling the texture of a Hokkaido cheese steamed cake—a pleasant surprise for those who enjoy rich, satisfying bites. The matcha sauce especially stood out to me as a perfect complement, offering a subtle bitterness that enhances the sweetness. One thing to note is the preparation time of about 20 minutes, which is well worth the wait given the quality. Also, the specials during the grand reopening—like free drinks and cheesecake or dorayaki with pancake orders—add extra incentive to plan your visit between Nov 21 and 24. For those curious about the curry, it carries a nostalgic Japanese flavor but leans on the sweeter side, which might be new to some palates but still deeply comforting. Their carbonara udon is another novel offering, interestingly made without milk to keep it lighter. If you love sharing your food adventures, don’t forget to follow their Instagram @fuwafuwapancakes for updates and freebies during the reopening. The venues at both Robson Street and Langley provide cozy atmospheres perfect for brunch dates or casual meet-ups.
