If you’re looking for a unique treat to enjoy at the Shipyards Christmas Market, I highly recommend checking out Tochi’s cream-filled sandos. The texture of the crispy fried sandwich filled with rich, creamy flavors offers a delightful contrast that keeps you coming back for more. What I loved most is the variety—whether you prefer classic vanilla or the more indulgent creme brulee, there’s something to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. I personally tried the creme brulee flavor and found it perfectly balanced between sweetness and creaminess. Tochi also allows you to mix and match flavors, which is perfect if you want to sample different tastes in one visit. The market’s festive atmosphere adds to the overall experience, making it a great family-friendly outing. While these sandos are inspired by Japan’s age-sando tradition, experiencing them right here in Vancouver is incredibly convenient and just as enjoyable. Be sure to save some room for dessert when you visit! I hope Tochi continues to sell these delicious treats beyond the Christmas market, as they’ve quickly become one of my favorite local discoveries this holiday season.
