So close but so far
Struggling since 2017 with mystery illnesses, random unexplainable blood tests, specialists, medication. In 2023 I worked 14 to 16 hour days 6 days a week and a second job 3 days a week. I thought I was tired, worn out, as people said "you're burning yourself out". Suddenly the fatigue hit me, then the overheating, I was losing strength and my right arm had started to kill me. This would come and go and I chalked it up to working to much so I cut down days. It only helped a little. I constantly caught every virus, bruises I couldnt remember getting showed up, kept injuring myself and it would take longer to heal than normal.
Every question was met with eat healthy and lose weight. Lost 100 lbs and yet theres still no answers. I was dismissed for 4 years and changed practitioners as soon as I ended up in the ER with symptoms that mimicked seizures. For months my blood counts were off but not "alarming" enough to mention and was thrown antibiotics. The numerous tests, scans, etc didnt add up. I started to get some small answers that may have been the problem/s but I still had this gut feeling that it was more. I am a week away from the blood test that I feel will finally show why Ive declined. Call it intuition I guess. Positive vibes though.

Each passing year has brought new tests and numerous doctor visits, yet answers remained elusive. It’s notable how sometimes, the mainstream health advice of 'eat healthy and exercise' doesn't apply when an underlying issue goes undiagnosed. My repeated dismissal by practitioners, even as significant symptoms escalated, illustrates a broader issue many patients face: the need for thorough investigation and empathy within the healthcare system. The feeling of having no one listen can lead to a lack of trust and immense frustration. I'm nearing a pivotal moment with an upcoming blood test that I hope will finally shed light on my health struggles. This period of waiting is filled with hope but also uncertainty. The swelling in my face and various unexplained symptoms remind me daily of how fragile health can be. I encourage others in similar situations to hold on to their intuition, advocate for themselves, and never stop seeking answers. Remember, you're not alone in this journey.
