do you struggle with this too?

i will be the first to admit: getting into God’s Word daily has been a struggle in my walk with Christ. life gets busy & sometimes overwhelming… caring for my baby, running a home, working my businesses, trying to keep up with obligations, even just finding time to rest. at times it feels almost impossible. but the truth is, when i’m not in His Word, i am only surviving. it’s only when His truth is hidden in my heart & renewing my mind that i can truly thrive & find meaning in all these things. the goal isn’t to master the Bible but to let the Bible master us, to let it shape our hearts and reorient our vision toward Christ.

Whether caring for children, managing a household, or juggling work obligations, the busyness can often make consistent time in God’s Word feel overwhelming or impossible. However, it’s important to remember that approaching Scripture is not about perfection or quantity but about connection and nourishment for the soul. Scripture is not merely a collection of words or rules; it is the living voice of God speaking into our current lives. When life feels chaotic, a single verse can bring profound comfort and guidance if we allow it time to soak into our hearts. The goal is not to master the Bible as a task but to let its truths master us—to let scripture shape our character and redirect our vision toward Christ’s love and mercy. It’s also essential to embrace God’s grace when we miss a day or struggle with consistency. His mercy is fresh every morning, meeting us not with shame but with an invitation to return and draw near once again. Daily time in the Word becomes less about disciplined obligation and more about learning to feed on the “bread of life” that sustains our spirit. For busy moms and anyone overwhelmed, setting small achievable goals like focusing on one verse, journaling reflections, or praying scripture can gradually build a nourishing habit. Community support, such as joining groups with shared faith journeys (#christianmomjourney, #bibletime), can also encourage accountability and growth. Ultimately, thriving in your walk with Christ isn’t found in how much you read but in who you turn to consistently—the living God who satisfies the deepest hunger of our souls. Let scripture be a source of renewal that transforms survival into true thriving, providing strength, hope, and peace amid life’s demands.
