Okay mamas, let's talk about the real struggle: finding time for you when you've got little ones running around. It feels impossible sometimes, right? That's why I'm completely obsessed with our 'mommy and me' workout sessions. It's been a game-changer for AJ and me, and I seriously encourage you to think about how you can 'come workout with me' in this amazing way! The biggest win for me? No more stressing about childcare. AJ is right there with me, making new little friends while I get my sweat on. It’s not just about burning calories; it’s about building a supportive community, sharing those tired but triumphant glances with other moms, and showing our kids that moving our bodies is a joyful, natural part of life. Watching them mimic our movements or giggle through an Easter egg relay race makes even the toughest HIIT workout feel like a blast. If you're curious about finding a 'mommy and me' class, start by looking online for local fitness studios, community centers, or even Facebook groups dedicated to moms in your area. Many offer trial classes, so you can test the waters before committing. Don't be afraid to try a few different places to find the perfect fit for your energy and your child's age and temperament. Some classes focus on stroller fitness, others on gentle yoga, and some, like ours, dive into fun, themed HIIT sessions that get your heart pumping! And let's be honest, a successful workout often starts with good prep. For me, that means making sure my trusty Stanley water bottle is filled to the brim – staying hydrated is non-negotiable, especially when you're juggling a workout and a toddler! Sometimes, a little pick-me-up like a Diet Coke cup is my secret weapon for that extra boost on the way to class, especially on a chilly morning, as my car dashboard showed 62°F. Getting into comfy workout gear that makes you feel good is also key. After the session, when my muscles are screaming (in the best way!), there’s nothing quite like checking my Apple Watch to see my progress – those active calories and total workout time are so satisfying. And yes, a quick 'sweaty post workout selfie' is a must to capture that feeling of accomplishment! It reminds me that I showed up, I pushed myself, and I did something awesome for my health, both physical and mental. Remember, it's not about perfection; it's about consistency and finding joy in the movement. What are your go-to tips for fitting fitness into your mom life?
