6.29.26: Just Kimiko’s Thoughts 💭…
I used to wonder how some people could go through life and not let things bother them. How they could keep moving without carrying the weight of other people’s opinions, attitudes, or silence.
I think I’ve finally arrived there. 🤍
There was a time when I’d wonder why someone suddenly stopped speaking to me or why they seemed upset, especially when I had no clue what I’d done. If you were someone I genuinely cared about, I had no problem having the uncomfortable conversation because I believed friendships were worth protecting.
Then I remembered something my mom always said: “Everyone isn’t cut like you.” Everyone isn’t willing to communicate, take accountability, or fight for relationships the way you are.
That lesson changed me.
It didn’t make me bitter… it made me selective.
These days, I don’t feel the need to chase explanations, force conversations, or convince anyone to stay. At one point in my life, I didn’t know you… and life was still moving forward. It’ll continue moving forward now.
This trip has given me so much time to sit with my thoughts, pray, and reflect. I’ve realized that letting go isn’t about not having a heart. It’s about protecting your peace. And peace is too expensive to trade for confusion.
So my energy is shifting. My focus is on the next adventure, the next chapter, the next passport stamp, the next opportunity, and giving love to the people who freely give it back. ❤️✈️🌎
Three cities. Six days. Planned almost at the last minute. 😉 That’s the beauty of doing what I love.
My business. My passion. My hobby. 💙
Have you reached the point where you protect your peace more than you protect people’s feelings? 💭
