Be still and know that I am God Psalms 46:10
Reflecting on the verse "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalms 46:10), I have personally found that making God the center of my life, before everything and everyone, transforms how I approach daily challenges. Taking time to pause and focus on spiritual connection helps reduce stress and offers a deep sense of peace. During the Sabbath, this practice becomes even more meaningful. The Sabbath is more than a day of rest; it's an opportunity to recharge spiritually and emotionally, filled with joy and God's abundant blessings. When I embrace the Sabbath by consciously reconnecting with God, I feel renewed for the week ahead. Matthew 11:28 invites us to come to Jesus when weary and burdened, promising rest. I have experienced this rest through prayer and quiet reflection on the Sabbath, which rejuvenates both body and soul. Incorporating these truths into daily life requires intention. Start by dedicating moments to stillness, prayer, or meditation on scripture. Rejoicing in the fact that "this is the day the Lord has made" helps cultivate gratitude and joy even amid difficulties. By prioritizing God before all else, we open ourselves to healing, strength, and guidance. This mindset encourages a lifestyle where burdens feel lighter and blessings become more visible. Whether you have a hectic schedule or face overwhelming obligations, making God the first priority can lead to profound inner peace and rest.
