If you're planning a trip, you have to check it out. The Magic Springs Wave Pool, often called 'Surfside Bay,' is seriously huge and a total highlight of the water park. When those waves start crashing, it feels like you're at the beach, but without all the sand getting everywhere – win-win! We spent hours just floating, jumping, and riding the waves. For the little ones, it’s great because the entrance is gradual, so they can ease into the shallower parts. My kids loved splashing in the smaller ripples before the big waves rolled in. It’s perfect for all ages, whether you want to just relax on a float or get into the thick of the action. It truly adds an element of 'adventure' to your day! Tips for Making the Most of the Magic Springs Wave Pool: Arrive Early for Prime Spots: The wave pool can get pretty crowded, especially on hot summer afternoons. We found that hitting it up right after opening or later in the afternoon before closing gave us more space. Getting there early also helps you snag a good shaded spot on the 'beach' area surrounding the pool. Utilize Free Life Jackets: Magic Springs offers complimentary life jackets in various sizes, which was a huge relief for us parents. Even if your kids are strong swimmers, the waves can be powerful and unpredictable, so it’s always better to be safe. We made sure to grab ours as soon as we entered the water park section. Consider Renting a Locker: While we found a 'home base' on the ground, renting a locker near the wave pool area is a smart move for securing wallets, phones, and car keys. It gives you peace of mind while you're out having fun in the water. Stay Hydrated & Sun-Safe: You'll be expending a lot of energy in the sun! Bring refillable water bottles or plan to grab drinks frequently from the nearby concessions. And, of course, slather on plenty of sunscreen – and reapply often, especially after being in the water. A good wide-brimmed hat can also be a lifesaver. Check Wave Schedule: Sometimes the park operates the waves in intervals. It's a good idea to check the park's daily schedule or ask a lifeguard for the wave times so you don't miss out on the action! Water Shoes are a Game Changer: The concrete paths around the water park can get incredibly hot under the Arkansas sun. Water shoes make walking between attractions much more comfortable and protect your feet. Beyond the wave pool, Magic Springs has so much more to offer. We also hit up some of the thrilling roller coasters – a real highlight for the older kids and us adults! It’s awesome to have both a water park and a theme park in one spot. We loved the mix of adrenaline rushes and cooling off. The OCR mentioned a 'family selfie,' and honestly, we took so many because every corner offered a fun memory. From the excitement of the rides to the relaxation of floating in the wave pool, it was a day packed with 'family fun' and 'adventure.' It was truly a fantastic 'family time' experience. Overall, our day at Magic Springs, especially the wave pool, was the perfect 'family getaway.'
