quick ways to be more CONFIDENT🌞

let's talk about confidence!!

i was very short, sweet and to the point in this post, but i'm going to elaborate on them a little more here :)

1. fake it till you make it🤗

i SWEAR by this one, which is why it is tip #1 ! everyone has heard this saying, but it is a lifesaver. by "faking it till you make it", you are not only deceiving others into thinking you are confident (even if you are nervous or anxious!), but you also may eventually convince yourself that you ARE confident! while this is very hard to do for me personally, it really does work.

2. maintain eye contact and smile👀

when someone looks at you, don't be the first to look away! when i am nervous i am so guilty of this, but it leaves a lasting effect on people when you are able to maintain eye contact and give them a smile!

3. dress and look the part💃

this kinda goes hand in hand with faking it till you make it, but dressing nice, doing your makeup, or fixing your hair is always a great way to feel more confident when you don't!

4. maintain good hygiene🧖‍♀️

we all have off days when we are in a slump, but when you want to feel more confident when going somewhere or just in general, hygiene is definitely something to keep in mind! showering, putting on perfume/cologne, brushing your teeth, and deodorant are simple, quick ways to maintain good hygiene and feel confident.

5. speak clearly and calmly🗣️

perfecting your speech is a huge way to seem confident! speaking slowly, calmly and confidently is an awesome way to feel and seem confident to others!

6. say no and set boundaries🙅‍♀️

saying no can be hard, but it matters! setting boundaries/saying no to others when it is hard sometimes shows that you respect yourself, and in turn causes others to respect you! obviously some people will get upset with you for doing this, but if the boundary is good for you, then that unfortunately shows that the person does not have your best interests in mind!
