JB Authentic & Affordable Italian Restaurant ✨
hello! recently went to JB and decided to try this Italian restaurant Bottega JB that is highly rated & hyped over social media!!
we went on a Saturday afternoon about 1pm ish and we managed to just walk in without a reservation! but they have reservations online as well which probably will get better seats i.e seats indoor~ but it wasn’t hot at all for us so it was pretty comfortable to sit outdoors as well 😄 the restaurant is actually a landed property turned into a restaurant which i thought it was pretty cool 😎
💰 total cost came up to about 50 SGD for 1 drink, 1 dessert and 2 mains which i felt it was quite affordable compared to SG!
food was decent and my fav was the pizza & tiramisu!!
what we ate:
Bellina: peach mocktail with soda & lemon! this was pretty refreshing for us!! but i feel it’s nothing thatt special
Fume’-Speck-Scamorza: pizza is wood fired and you can see the live firing in action 🤩 the crust and texture was chewy and just right!! the parma ham was also yumsss with the tomato base! they actually gave us the sauce afterwards for us to try with the pizza and it was delish!! the sauce was a bit tangy and spicy which gave a bit of a kick to the pizza~~
Lo Scoglio: pasta was tomato based as well but i felt it was pretty normal, tbh tasted a little like those instant tomato pasta sauce to me just a little more flavourful…
Tiramisu: this was their family recipe homemade tiramisu!! to be honest, i don’t think i ate enough tiramisu to tell the difference between what is a good vs alright tiramisu (i mean as long as it is not horrible).. all i can say is this tiramisu was not very sweet and the alcohol paired really well with the cream and chocolatey taste!! it was good enough of a tiramisu for me~~~ portion was pretty huge and more than enough for at least 3-4 pax!! they also have a non-alcoholic version if you don’t take alcohol entirely~
