When “hard to get” is really just “not interested in your games.”
Level unlocked: Self-respect. #ToxicAdviceHotline #Boundaries #SelfWorth
From my personal journey, I realized that recognizing toxicity in relationships is crucial for mental well-being. Toxicity can appear in subtle ways, such as manipulation or disrespect, which can be confused with playful behavior like 'playing hard to get.' But truly, it's about respecting yourself and understanding when someone’s behavior is harmful. It helped me to set clear boundaries, communicate my needs firmly, and not tolerate games or disrespect. Refusing to engage in unhealthy patterns is tough but necessary for self-worth. If you find yourself constantly questioning your feelings or feeling drained after interactions, these might be signs of a toxic relationship. Remember, self-respect means valuing your own emotions and standing firm against toxic behavior. It’s empowering to move past confusion and recognize these signs early. Opening up about such experiences with friends or online communities helped me feel supported and reminded me I’m not alone. Finding spaces where self-worth is prioritized can make a big difference in overcoming toxicity in relationships.
