Learning to Love My Own Company 🥰

“Aren’t you scared living alone?”

I get asked this question a lot and sometimes it puzzles me. Why would I be? Am I cautious? Yes. Scared, not one bit!

The truth is, I enjoy living alone too much for my own good. It’s an immense feeling of peace and independence that’s hard to put into words.

I’ve had roommates in the past, and although my roommate experiences were not awful, I’ve looked forward to being on my own when the means presented, and I haven’t looked back since.

My house is my sanctuary. My happy place. I can honestly call myself a homebody, which is why I love decorating and upgrading my space to fit my mood and vibe. It’s peaceful, it has all my favorite things and I get to call all the shots. It’s the place where I feel completely safe. It’s not that I don’t enjoy company, it’s just that I also don’t mind being on my own.

Do you enjoy your own company at home or would rather be around others?
