Literally sick rn

I was having a less stressful week which I haven’t had since before the new semester started. Then I get sick so I gotta try to recover fast since I’ve got exams and a lab practical next week. I got a runny nose, sore throat, and I feel mucus is in my throat.

So this is what I did to get better so far:

1. Brush my teeth and gargled mouthwash.

I mean I’m killing whatever bacteria is in my mouth. Still had some discomfort in the morning.

2. Drink a warm latte.

Ya, that’s a no no but I haven’t had coffee in a while. Coffee isn’t a good idea since my body needs something healthier actually can help it recover. A warm drink is a good idea but not latte or anything coffee related.

3. Drink an emergen-c.

It’s supposed to help your immune system, but I started feeling worse after drinking it.

4. Using tissues, toilet paper, and anything to blow my nose.

All I got to say is I’m twins with Rudolph rn. Still dripping like a leaky faucet.

5. Eating sore throat lollipops.

I try to think it’s helping but haven’t had totally relief. There’s still that bit of discomfort.

6. Drink water.

I should have drank more but our water machine’s water is cold and I didn’t want to go grab some water bottles from the garage.

7. Ate Hot and Sour soup.

Did give some relief while eating and kind of burned a little at first but ig it’s a good thing?

8. Drank peppermint tea.

It was cold by the time I drank it so that’s why it didn’t fully help but did help kind of soothe my throat while sipping it.

9. Gargled salt water.

I hate doing this but it has helped me before to get better. I just hate getting hit by the super salty taste and gagging to the point I choke out the mucus globs. But it also kills the bacteria along with getting that mucus out, but this time i didn’t do it that long. Or in the morning when i felt discomfort at first which probably might’ve prevented me feeling worse but who knows.

10. Rest.

Haven’t slept all day since I’ve been busy trying to be productive but honestly couldn’t do much but complain about feeling so miserable 😂. I’m so going to try to get some sleep now.
