Crocheting scarf help

I’ve been trying to follow this pattern for a scarf but idk what to do whenever I get to end of the row.

I would like to know how to hide the other color(in this case it’s the gray yarn) so that only the black show.

Stop carrying it to the last stitch . Only carry it to the second to last stitch .

you drop the yarn before the last stitch, then after you turn and make the first stitch of the new row, you need to pick it back up.
