my journey with pink hair 🩷
i’ve had pink hair for a bit over two years now & it was the best decision of my life!!
growing up, i ALWAYS wanted vivid hair but i was always scared bc i listened to outside opinions (mainly family) saying i would regret it. i would “fry” my hair. it would look “dry”. it would look “tacky.” i became nervous about the maintenance & that i would lose a part of myself with my brown, thick hair.
i made this big decision in my mid 20s and i immediately felt more like myself. i love being colorful & i honestly feel better & more comfortable.
& i have the healthiest hair i’ve ever had!! the maintenance isn’t that crazy & im glad im in a place where i can maintain it. at the end of the day, it’s just HAIR!!! my brown, thick hair will still always be there whenever i want it back. :)

p.s. i do go to the salon to get it professionally done, i def don’t trust myself to do it at home. this is also why i feel like i’ve been able to take care of it, i leave the hard part to the professional & do the rest. 💅🏼
