How to find your perfect press-on sizes! 💅🏽
In this video, I go over what to do and what to look for when getting your sizing kit!
Measuring your nails are so important to making sure you get the perfect set of nails every time!
Quick run down of the video:
▪︎ Make sure nails are cut as much as possible and file the corners.
▪︎ Push back cuticles. Use cuticle pusher to push back and move side to side to create a small pocket.
▪︎ Take the press-on you think will fit and tuck it under your cuticle a bit to make sure it fits that area.
▪︎ Check press-on from sidewall line to sidewall line and make sure it touches both sides. If the press-on is too small, always go with the bigger option!
▪︎ Mark your sizes from thumb to pinky and send a message via DM or the NCC website!
▪ ︎ Order your next set!

Selecting the perfect press-on nail size is crucial for achieving a seamless and comfortable look, and from my own experience, taking the time to measure your nails properly can make all the difference. One key step I found invaluable is to keep my natural nails trimmed short and well-filed before using the sizing kit. This helps prevent bulky or uneven edges that might cause discomfort or an unnatural fit. Pushing back the cuticles gently with a cuticle pusher was a game changer. Creating that small pocket allows the press-on nail to sit naturally beneath the cuticle line, contributing to a more refined and snug appearance. It’s important not to force the press-on too far or cause any pain—comfort is the best indicator of a perfect fit. When trying sizes, I always check the coverage from sidewall to sidewall. A nail that touches both sides without overlapping or leaving gaps helps avoid lifting or catching on things. If I’m between sizes, I go with the larger option because it's easier to file down a bit than to deal with nails that are too small and uncomfortable. Another helpful tip is to number each chosen size from thumb to pinky on your sizing kit before sending your sizing info to the seller. This system not only keeps you organized but also speeds up your next order. I appreciated that the sizing kit came free with my first order, which made the whole process easier and risk-free. Beyond sizing, maintaining healthy nails and cuticles boosts how press-ons look and last. Regular moisturizing and gentle care can help prevent peeling or lifting under the applied nails. In my experience, a precise fit combined with good nail prep ensures my press-on nails stay intact much longer and look professionally applied. If you’re new to press-ons or considering starting your own press-on business, mastering the sizing technique is foundational. With practice, finding your perfect press-on nail sizes becomes quick and intuitive, making your manicures flawless and hassle-free every time.
