Healthy Hair Habits & Routine 🖤💆🏽‍♀️✨

I’ve gotten lazy with caring for my natural hair. In the beginning after my big chop, I took care of it like a newborn baby. Now that it has gotten thicker and longer I almost dread wash and styling days but it has to be done! I don’t go get my hair done often so I usually do it myself at home. My go to styles are twist outs and braid outs but lately I’ve been keeping them in!👌🏽💁🏽‍♀️

I can style my twists/braids in different ways but I can also keep them in for some wash days.

When I do twists I usually start with braiding so they don’t unravel at the root and to give a little elongation but I chose to do them regularl this time.

I used to have my go to products in the beginning, but now I just get what I can afford out of what’s available, I try to choose from the best of that.

The only product I’ve used consistently my entire natural hair journey is the Jamaican black castor oil. I haven’t used Doo Gro in I don’t know how long but I picked it up so I can easily oil my scalp and I didn’t see any JBCO. The bottle I currently have is almost out.

I don’t do anything fancy with my hair, I don’t use a ton of product so my styles can be frizzy with parts that aren’t neat or even but it still works for me.

I’m trying to get back into the habit of keeping my hair moisturized and trimming when needed this spring so I’m starting now👌🏽🖤✨
