It is open from 7: 30 in the morning on weekdays and can also be used as a morning activity.

「函館で朝から開いてるカフェないかな？」と思って探している人に、rattan coffeeはかなり使いやすいお店だと感じました。平日7:30から営業しているので、観光前の朝活や出勤前の1杯にもぴったり。市電の五稜郭公園前から徒歩圏内で、本町エリアで朝カフェできるのはありがたいです。 私が行った日は、店内が“和の要素も取り入れた”落ち着く雰囲気で、写真よりも居心地が良かったのが印象的。席に座るとゆっくり過ごせる空気感で、1人でも友達とでも使いやすいと思います。「まったりしたい日」にちょうどいいカフェ、という言葉がしっくりきました。 rattan coffeeのメニューで推したいのは、やっぱりスイーツ系。3種類あるパウンドケーキの中でも、バニラ×キャラメリゼは注文後に“その場でブリュレ”して仕上げてくれるのが嬉しいポイントです。表面のカリッとした食感と、中のしっとり感のギャップが良くて、コーヒーにもカフェラテにも合います。出来上がりをすぐ食べられるので、時間がない朝でも「ちゃんと美味しいもの食べた！」って満足感がありました。 ドリンクは自家焙煎のコーヒーが楽しめて、可愛いカフェラテも写真を撮りたくなるタイプ。甘いものと一緒に頼むなら、ラテのまろやかさが相性良かったです。 「函館 クロワッサン」で探している人は、来店前にInstagramや当日の店頭ラインナップもチェックしてみるのがおすすめ。日によって焼き菓子や軽食の並びが変わることもあるので、“今あるメニュー”を確認してから行くと外しにくいです。 最後に、地味に助かるのが実用面。支払いは現金だけじゃなくクレカ・電子マネー・PayPay対応、駐車場も2台分あり。朝カフェ目的でサクッと寄る日でも、観光ついでにゆっくりする日でも使いやすいと思います。気になっている人は、まずは朝の時間帯に行ってみてください。
