เมื่อพูดถึงการเดินทางในยุคดิจิทัลแล้ว Google Maps กลายเป็นแอปที่ทุกคนควรมีติดมือถือไว้อย่างแท้จริงครับ จากที่ผมได้ใช้ Google Maps มาสักพักใหญ่ พบว่าสิ่งที่ทำให้มันโดดเด่นและสะดวกคือการอัปเดตข้อมูลจราจรแบบเรียลไทม์ ทำให้เลี่ยงรถติดได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ซึ่งช่วยประหยัดเวลาเดินทางไปได้มาก อีกทั้งฟีเจอร์บอกเส้นทางด้วยเสียงภาษาไทยนั้นช่วยลดความลำบากของคนที่ไม่ชำนาญเส้นทางหรือผู้ขับขี่ที่ต้องคอยดูแผนที่ตลอดเวลา ผมเองเคยใช้โหมดนี้เวลาเดินทางคนเดียวในพื้นที่ไม่คุ้นเคย พบว่าเสียงนำทางชัดเจนและสั่งงานด้วยเสียงผ่านคำว่า "Hey Google" ได้อย่างง่ายดายซึ่งเพิ่มความปลอดภัยในขณะขับรถ นอกจากการใช้สำหรับรถยนต์แล้วโหมดเดินเท้าและขนส่งสาธารณะก็เป็นอีกฟีเจอร์ที่มีประโยชน์ สำหรับนักเดินทางหรือนักท่องเที่ยวที่ต้องการข้อมูลเส้นทางรถเมล์ BTS หรือ MRT อย่างละเอียด เคยใช้ตอนเที่ยวในกรุงเทพฯ ทำให้ไม่ต้องกลัวหลงทางหรือเสียเวลาไปกับการถามคนอื่น ที่ผมชอบอย่างมากคือสามารถดาวน์โหลดแผนที่มาใช้งานแบบออฟไลน์ ซึ่งมีประโยชน์มากเมื่ออยู่ในพื้นที่ที่มีสัญญาณเน็ตไม่ดีหรือไม่มีเลย ผมใช้ฟีเจอร์นี้เวลาขึ้นรถไฟหรืออยู่ในเขตชนบท ทำให้มั่นใจได้ว่าจะไม่หลงทาง นอกจากนี้การบันทึกสถานที่โปรดและแชร์โลเคชันให้ครอบครัวหรือเพื่อนรู้เวลาที่เดินทาง จะช่วยเพิ่มความอุ่นใจ โดยเฉพาะเวลาที่เราต้องเดินทางในบริเวณที่ไม่ค่อยคุ้นเคย อีกทั้ง Google Maps ยังเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ใช้ช่วยอัปเดตข้อมูล เช่น รีวิวร้านอาหาร รายงานปัญหาบนแผนที่หรืออัปโหลดภาพ ช่วยให้แผนที่มีความแม่นยำและเปลี่ยนแปลงได้ตามสภาพจริง สรุปแล้ว Google Maps ไม่ใช่แค่แอปแผนที่ธรรมดา แต่เป็นเพื่อนคู่ใจในการเดินทางที่ให้ข้อมูลครบถ้วนและปรับตัวได้ตลอดเวลา เหมาะกับทั้งผู้ขับรถ นักท่องเที่ยว และคนทำงานที่ต้องเดินทางทุกวันจริง ๆ ครับ
