LEGO Concorde Alternative Build

I recently stumbled upon the LEGO Concorde Airbrix Kit, and as an AFOL, I was immediately captivated. This isn't just another LEGO set; it's presented as a true alternative build experience, much like a traditional plastic model kit but with the familiar joy of LEGO bricks. What truly sets it apart, even from the renowned official LEGO Concorde, is the fantastic attention to detail in areas often overlooked. From the moment I saw the parts laid out on the green cutting mat, still attached to their sprues, I knew this was special. The kit promised a 1:60 scale replica, and the quality of the individual fuselage sections and wing components looked top-notch. But it was the promise of a detailed interior that really got me excited. Many LEGO aircraft models compromise on internal features, but the Airbrix Kit doesn't shy away. Seeing the landing gear parts, including the wheels, still on their sprues, gave me confidence in their structural integrity. For a model of this size and scale, a sturdy landing gear system is crucial for a proud display. I'm eager to see how the connection points and articulation work when assembled, ensuring the finished Concorde stands tall and stable. Another fascinating aspect is the 'NO GLUE REQUIRED' label on the box, which really highlights its LEGO roots, despite the model kit presentation. It's a clever blend, offering the precision and detail of a model without the mess of adhesives. And speaking of detail, I was charmed by the inclusion of a LEGO-built accessory tray, complete with miniature paint pots and brushes.
