Not a lot of reading this week. I'm currently sleeping on a camping bed until the house is 100% clear and that's a bit uncomfortable. I started Six of crows, I like it, it's interesting and intriguing but why is everyone a teen, I'm aging them up in their mid twenties 😅

i think this pairing is SO fun because these books could not be more different, even though they both involve a lot of murder. one is dark and moody and stressful while the other is more whimsical and fantastical and fun. they really capture both of my reading moods! #lemon8partner #

but I think it’s a fantasy series worth reading
how many of you guessed the series before i revealed it? the poppy war is a grimdark military fantasy series, and it has a lot of disturbing elements. it doesn’t shy away from the realities and horrors of war, so if you find that content upsetting i would not recommend picking up these books.
