Worship Means Letting Go

In Genesis 22, Abraham faced the hardest test of his life. God asked him to lay down Isaac—his only son, the one he loved most—on the altar. It didn’t make sense. It hurt. But Abraham trusted God enough to surrender what he loved. That was worship.

Worship isn’t just about music or a church service. It’s about giving God what matters most to you. That could be a relationship, a dream you’ve been chasing, or even control over your own life. If it takes God’s place in your heart, it needs to be on the altar.

Abraham believed that even if Isaac was gone, God would still keep His promises. That’s what surrender looks like—trusting God’s character more than your own understanding.

So, what’s your “Isaac”? What are you holding onto so tightly that God is asking you to release?

True worship costs something. And when you let go, you find out that God Himself is enough.
