Still so fun
Simple yet satisfying. That’s how I would describe the combat in this game
I remember when I first started playing Hogwarts Legacy, I thought the combat might get repetitive. But honestly, it's become one of my absolute favorite parts! The way spells chain together, the timing of Protego and Stupefy, it all just clicks. It truly is *still fun after these years*, and I'm constantly finding new ways to approach duels. What really elevates the combat for me are the duelling feats. These aren't just random achievements; they’re challenges that push you to experiment with your spells and become a more strategic wizard. For example, perfectly parrying an incoming attack to stun an enemy, or using a combination of control and damage spells to take down multiple foes simultaneously. I love trying to pull off those tricky feats that really test your reflexes and spell mastery. It’s like a puzzle you solve with magic! When I'm facing off against dark wizards, goblins, or even fearsome beasts, I often rely on a few go-to strategies. I’ve found that combining a quick Levioso to lift an enemy into the air, followed by Confringo for explosive damage, is incredibly effective. For crowd control, Glacius and Arresto Momentum are absolute lifesavers, giving you precious seconds to plan your next move or heal up. And you absolutely cannot forget Protego and Stupefy – mastering those defensive spells is not just key to staying alive, but also essential for chaining together attacks and racking up those high Combarx10 (combat multiplier) hit streaks! It feels so rewarding when you perfectly counter an attack and immediately follow up with a devastating combo. To truly excel in duels, it’s not just about offense. I always prioritize spatial awareness, dodging incoming attacks, and using environmental objects to my advantage. See a barrel? Depulso it into a group of enemies! Spot a hanging brazier? Incendio it for area damage. Experiment with different spell sets too! Don't just stick to one. Change your loadout based on the enemies you’re facing. For instance, against heavily armored foes, Depulso and Diffindo can break through their defenses quickly. Against agile enemies, Accio can pull them in for close-range bursts, setting them up for a powerful Incendio. Once you've got the basics down, start thinking about spell synergies. Incendio followed by Bombarda creates a fiery explosion that’s incredibly satisfying. Or try using Transformation to turn a tough enemy into a barrel, then Depulso it into a group of other foes for massive area-of-effect damage. These advanced tactics are what make the combat feel truly limitless and keep me coming back for more, even after countless hours of gameplay. So, if you're looking to elevate your Hogwarts Legacy experience, I highly recommend focusing on mastering the duelling feats and really experimenting with your spell combinations. You'll be surprised at how much deeper and more rewarding the combat becomes. It’s truly a game where you can feel yourself growing stronger as a wizard!
