Moving to a new country often means facing the daunting challenge of starting from scratch, as I experienced when I arrived in Canada not knowing French and beginning with cleaning jobs to make ends meet. This early period taught me valuable lessons about humility and perseverance. Working in such roles isn't glamorous, but it laid the foundation for what was to come. I found unexpected joy when I was given the opportunity to work with children, particularly those with autism and ADHD. This shift was a turning point, igniting my passion to offer love, understanding, and empathy. Children communicate so much through observation and listening—skills that no book can fully teach. Each day brought new lessons in patience, resilience, and the ability to find joy even in small victories. My experience showed me that professional growth isn't always linear. Sometimes it requires embracing humble beginnings and allowing yourself to learn step by step. The journey of adapting to a new culture, learning a new language like French, and discovering my vocation was filled with obstacles but also deep personal fulfillment. For anyone beginning anew in a foreign country or career, I encourage embracing each challenge as an opportunity for growth. No matter how many times you have to start over, approaching life with unconditional love and joy ensures you will find a way to thrive and even laugh along the way. This mindset has carried me forward, reminding me that life is made of beginnings and continuous learning, not just what we leave behind. The most important takeaway is that passion and perseverance can transform any fresh start into a fulfilling adventure.
