To epidural or not to epidural?
I’m expecting my first baby and my anxiety is through the roof! I've been stressing about labor and delivery nonstop. Specifically, I'm torn about getting an epidural.
Part of me wants the pain relief, but another part is worried about potential complications and interventions. I've heard horror stories about epidurals slowing down labor or leading to assisted deliveries.
Has anyone else gone through this internal debate? What did you decide and why? Any regrets or words of wisdom?

Listen.. most birth plans go out the window in the moment. Instead of ruminating about it now, why not see how you feel/do while in labor and make a decision about it then. I was hell bent on no drugs, but during labor I was begging for the epidural in the devils voice, and the baby was stressed out because of how insane I was. They withheld the epidural from me because I told them I wanted all natural! I ended up getting one because it was starting to look like I needed a c section since baby was in such distress. After the epidural I relaxed, immediately fell asleep, woke up and I was ready to push. You will know what’s right for you in the moment, don’t let anyone or any scary documentary influence you otherwise.
