Warmer color temperatures, around 2700K, especially in the evening, help reduce the harshness of blue light, which can disrupt melatonin production and circadian rhythms. This color shift from cooler 4000K light to a warmer glow over several minutes helps eyes adapt more naturally. Incorporating indirect lighting like wall coves or sconces complements the softened screen light and creates a layered hush effect. These layers add texture and depth to the room without overwhelming brightness, which further enhances relaxation. For anyone who spends a significant amount of time on screens late into the night, experimenting with these adjustments helps create a sanctuary effect—where the screen no longer feels like a source of tension but instead blends gently into the overall atmosphere.
