Some of my FavoriteGrab and Go Protein Snacks

Majority of the prepackaged grab and go protein products taste weird to me and I can’t convince myself to actually eat them which is why I always try to buy single packs to try before I’m ever willing to buy a box. These are just a few of the ones I’ve found that I actually like and I’ve bought multiple times.

Legendary seems to be pretty good overall but I haven’t tried the hot fudge sundae pastry, cookies and cream pastry, red velvet pastry, chocolate sweet roll, or the wild berry sweet roll but I definitely plan to.

All of the Prime Bites muffins are delicious. I’ve only tried the glazed chocolate donut and the birthday cake blondie but they are both pretty good and I’ve repurchased a few times.

Not pictured are pretty much any of the protein bars from Built Bar. All of their flavors are delicious and I like to keep them in the fridge.

Beyond just listing my personal favorites, I wanted to share some insights on how to pick the best grab-and-go protein snacks you'll genuinely enjoy and integrate into your routine. First off, why are these snacks so crucial? For me, they’re a lifesaver for staying fueled and avoiding unhealthy impulse buys. Protein helps keep me full, supports muscle recovery, and prevents those energy dips. When you're short on time, having a reliable option like a protein brownie or a mini protein muffin can make all the difference. When you're scanning the shelves, here’s what I usually look for: Protein Power: This is key! I always aim for at least 15 grams of protein per serving. You’ll notice many great options, like those protein sweet rolls or protein pastries, often pack around 20g protein, while some protein muffins or protein brownies offer 15-19g. This ensures a substantial protein boost. Net Carbs & Sugar Content: If you're mindful of carb intake, checking net carbs is important. Some of my go-to protein pastries and sweet rolls surprisingly have low net carbs, often around 4g or 5g. It’s about finding that balance. Added Benefits: Sometimes you get a bonus! I've found protein muffins and protein brownies that also include 5g of collagen, great for skin, hair, and joints. The Taste Test (Crucial!): As I mentioned, don't commit to a whole box until you've tried a single pack! This has saved me so much disappointment. With so many flavors – from Birthday Cake and Blueberry to Cinnamon flavored sweet rolls and Chocolate Glazed Donut – it's worth experimenting to find what truly excites your taste buds. Now, how do I fit these into my busy life? Quick Breakfast/Lunch: On days I'm rushing, a protein pastry or a couple of protein muffins can be a perfectly balanced mini-meal. Pre and Post-Workout Fuel: A protein snack before a workout gives energy, and one shortly after helps kickstart muscle recovery. Afternoon Slump Saver: Instead of reaching for sugary treats, a satisfying protein brownie or a Chocolate Fudge protein muffin can curb those 3 PM cravings. Travel Buddy: Packing a few protein sweet rolls or protein pastries is a game-changer for road trips or flights, saving me from unhealthy airport food. Don't be afraid to explore different brands and flavors. Variety keeps things interesting and helps you stick to your healthy habits.
