Swim lesson day with Anorah 🏊🏽♀️☀️
She’s currently doing ISR (survival swim) lessons, so I thought I’d bring y’all along and show what I keep in our swim bag. #ISRSwim #YetiCamino35 #WaterSafety #MomOf3 #ToddlerMom
As a mom who has gone through the journey of teaching my children swimming skills, especially survival swimming or ISR (Infant Survival Readiness), packing the right essentials is crucial. Besides the obvious swimsuit and towel, I always include a waterproof swim diaper or training pants for toddlers who aren't potty trained yet, and a comfortable swim cap to keep hair out of their face and reduce drag in the water. Sunscreen designed for kids is a top must-have to protect delicate skin during outdoor sessions. I’ve found that including some floaties or a PFD (personal flotation device) that aligns with the ISR program helps my child feel confident and safe while practicing skills such as floating, treading water, and controlled breathing. A healthy snack and refillable water bottle keep energy levels up before and after lessons. Another thing I can't stress enough is organizing the swim bag with waterproof pouches—this keeps wet items separate from dry things like phones or car keys. After each session, we always rinse out gear to keep it fresh and ready for next time. ISR lessons focus on survival techniques that teach toddlers how to float on their back or safely get out of water, which can be life-saving skills. Being prepared with the right gear makes the experience smoother for both kids and parents. Sharing these tips helps other parents feel confident when embarking on survival swim lessons with their little ones.
