OC Drawing Evolution!!!

Creating an original character (OC) like Nyxie and witnessing her evolution from a mere background presence to a fully developed figure on paper has been an immensely rewarding experience. As an artist, I found that the journey of developing Nyxie allowed me to experiment freely with different drawing techniques, especially inking and sketching, to bring out her personality and uniqueness. Throughout the process, I realized the importance of patience and iteration. Initially, Nyxie was just a small part of a larger scene, a 4th or 3rd drawing that barely caught attention. But by gradually dedicating more time to refine her details and expression, she evolved into a character with depth and appeal. Naming her and integrating her into Bweeble’s buddy group gave me a clearer vision of her role and backstory, which in turn inspired more nuanced artistry. It’s also fascinating how little textual notes or scribbles—even seemingly cryptic lines like “Arm’t You Just A Lifflc Human” or “Errs Ens I Love You”—can reflect thoughts and emotions tied to the character’s evolution. This evolution showcases that even a character who starts as a simple background figure can develop a strong presence with enough passion and dedication.
