OC Drawing Evolution 2!

Creating and evolving an original character (OC) over time is one of the most rewarding experiences for any artist. Through my journey drawing Lyvia, I've realized how much growth occurs not just in the character design, but also in my own skills and style. It’s fascinating to look back at early drawings and see how far the character has come, as well as identifying areas to improve. Another challenge is balancing consistency with creativity. While it’s important for Lyvia to maintain recognizable traits, experimenting with different art mediums and filters breathes life into the character’s portrayal. The urge to revisit Lyvia sometimes wanes, but often resurfaces as new ideas or inspirations emerge, keeping the creative process dynamic. For artists working on their own OCs, I recommend embracing the evolving nature of character art. Don’t be afraid to redesign or add new attributes—it’s part of the excitement.
