actually quite normal stuff tbh

hey!!

havent posted in awhile because life has been a little crazy (will post about it soon!!) but i finally am back with some frugal habits i have recently 😛

➡️ much more unhinge frugal habits

➡️ how i dont pay full price for things

so here are some more normal frugal habits!!

1. hang/airdry my laundry

i do have a dryer but i dont use it unless i have big bedsheets or in cases of emergency where i NEED something dry immediately. if not, i always hang my clothes to dry in front of my windows if theres sun and/or under my ceiling fan if im already using it! i use a retractable, foldable one that i can keep when its not in use so it is very convenient!

2. i LOVE carousell because some people just give away things that they no longer need (including me!!). and i recently picked up a whole bag of pee pads that someone was giving away for FREE and i cut them up to fit my bunnies' litterbox!! dont have to buy pee pads! and so many gems on carousell fr!

3. solar panel charging

if you have seen my post on my solar panels , i am happy to report that i still use them daily! i charge these small portable fans and use them in the day time when i am wfh so i dont have to turn on the big fans with electricity 🫣 i also use the solar power to charge my phone, laptop, garmin watch etc. wheneve i can to save on electricity!!

**if youre keen on solar panels, mine are small & linked in my bio!!

anyway, i havent been as frugal as i want to recently due to big life events!! but i hope to share my new habits in this new stage of my life really soon 💛

other ways i save:

➡️ deep clean my sofa by myself

➡️ unhinge frugal habits

➡️ never pay full price for things again

... Read moreIncorporating frugal habits into daily life is not only practical but also empowering. One of the habits I’ve embraced that truly makes a difference is air-drying laundry instead of using a dryer. This method saves electricity and is especially beneficial when the weather is sunny or when a fan is on use indoors. A retractable clothesline can be a space-saving and convenient solution, making it easy to hang clothes anywhere without clutter. Another great tip I found is taking advantage of online marketplaces like Carousell, where many people give away items they no longer need. Recently, I got a large bundle of pee pads for free, which I repurposed by cutting them to fit my small animals’ litter boxes. This is a perfect example of how creative reuse can save money and reduce waste. Using solar panels for charging smaller devices during the day is a game changer. I use my portable solar panels to power mini fans while working from home, which reduces reliance on conventional electricity and lowers utility bills. Charging phones, laptops, and watches via solar energy whenever possible not only helps the environment but also supports a more frugal lifestyle. Beyond these specific habits, maintaining a mindset of resourcefulness helps uncover additional savings. For example, I deep clean furniture myself rather than paying for professional services and stay vigilant for discounts and giveaways. Frugality is a journey and adapting these simple, normal habits can add up to substantial savings over time. Sharing and learning from community tips like these can make the frugal lifestyle more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
