Nurse Practitioner Jobs You Didn’t Know Existed

1️⃣ Clinical Implementation Specialist- this role is kind of similar to a medical science liaison(which I talked about in part one of this post) but the difference is that this role is commercial facing. I also find that this is less competitive than medical science liaison roles. This role is a little bit less scientific and more clinical, which is why I really like it for nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. In this role, you basically help healthcare providers etc. to support the clinical management of patients through education, resources, other tools.

2️⃣Associate Territory Manager/Sales Specialist- This is a commercial sales role and either you’re into it or you’re not! In this role you would be responsible for a geographic region and go out to healthcare providers to sell the product. If you like the idea of the sales side of things, I think this is a great one to explore. I also feel this one is a good stepping stone to becoming an MSL.

3️⃣Medical info Specialist- I think this is a great role to break into within medical affairs at biotech and pharma companies! This person is usually the point of contact at the company who helps to answer medical inwuiries that come in from customers. They also help staff booths at conferences among other things. It gives great exposure to the department of medical affairs and offers room to grow!
