God is precious and good to us at any time.

2 Chor. 7.1-22

And Solomon and the children of Israel worshiped in the temple, and the fire came down, and burned the sacrifices. And the glory of God filled the house, so that the priests could not enter the temple. For the glory of God filled the temple. And when the people saw it, they glorified the greatness of God, the good God, and his love endured forever. And the people celebrated together. And until the 15th day the people returned to their homes rejoicing and rejoicing, because God had revealed it to them.

God appeared to Solomon, "I have heard your prayer," and the condition to keep this blessing is to humble yourself, to pray to God, and to turn away from evil. God will hear and forgive sins, and heal his land. His eyes are unseen. God's ears hear the cry. God's eyes and heart are constantly there.

But Solomon must walk in the way of God as David (his father), keeping the law of God. If he forsakes God, he turns to other gods, God will pluck them up and throw away the house. Misfortune comes because of their sins. The book of Chronicles is written after returning from captivity, giving them a clear understanding of this picture, just as we have read the scriptures, giving us a full picture.

For the new morning we wake up with life, breath, and see the greatness of God. Our God is good. The mercy of God is new every morning. His love endures forever. Humble yourselves to God, who listens and forgives sins. His eyes look on, the ears of God hear petitions.

What is important for us to remind ourselves in living our lives, may we keep God's laws, not forsake, not forget God, not turn to sin, not make idols for ourselves, is that there is nothing we value more than God. "As we approach God, we are far from sin, but if we distance ourselves from God, that means we are approaching sin."

Merry Christmas. Jesus was born to save us. He is a ray of hope in the dark earth, and his name is Immanuel. He is with us every time, every situation.
