Summer season is here and gardening garnu suru vayo.
Summer is the perfect time to dive into gardening, and starting early can make all the difference in your garden’s success. When I began gardening this summer, I focused on preparing my soil by adding compost and organic matter, which helped retain moisture during the hot months. It’s important to select plants that thrive in summer heat, such as tomatoes, peppers, and marigolds, which are both beautiful and resilient. Watering is crucial in the summer; I found that early morning watering minimized evaporation, ensuring the plants got the moisture they needed. Mulching around plants helped reduce weed growth and kept the soil cool. Regularly checking for pests and using natural remedies kept my plants healthy without harmful chemicals. For those new to gardening, starting with container gardening is also a great option. It allows control over soil quality and sunlight exposure, and it's easier to manage watering. These simple steps made my summer gardening experience rewarding and enjoyable, resulting in fresh vegetables and vibrant blooms right at home.
