I’ve never heard another mom say this.
I may regret this after my first 13 hour day back as a NICU nurse. But until then, I’ll be living in bliss thinking about how I get to talk to adults soon and educate others especially with my newfound experience as a first time mom. I can’t wait to hold another tiny baby and help another mom breast feed after finding out myself what that is like first hand.
I’m going to try my best to not show everyone I see pictures of my baby and figure out a good pumping schedule that will fit with my workload. It might be more stressful for me but also I think I’ll feel so much more rewarded when I come home to him at night.
This is one of those things I only ever hear moms say “oh I wish I could stay home with them forever,” but I have just never felt that way. My days are blending together too much and I want a structure to give me another sense of purpose. Stay at home moms have all of my respect because this is a different kind of mental load that I don’t think I could do every day forever.

currently pregnant & due in a week !! i’ve been on leave since july 11th bcos baby girl & i are high risk, but i actually kinda hate being on leave😭 don’t get me wrong, i did Not enjoy spending 10-12hrs on my feet 5 days a week & i do Not miss being yelled at by supervisors for not yelling at my own subordinates, but holy hell i miss having a strict schedule😭
