You know that feeling when everything just clicks in War Thunder? That's what I call 'open season.' It’s when every shot feels like it's destined to hit, and enemy tanks seem to practically line up for you. For me, recently, it's been an absolute blast. I've been running my T26E5 and the Centurion Mk 3, and they've been absolute beasts! Having an 'open season' isn't just luck, though. It’s about preparation and really understanding your vehicle. With the T26E5, I focus on hull-down positions, letting that thick turret armor do its job while I pick off targets. The 90mm gun is fantastic for those one-shot 'AMUNITION EXPL' moments that are just so satisfying. When you see that 'Target destroyed' message pop up repeatedly, you know you're in the zone. The Centurion Mk 3, on the other hand, is a bit more versatile. Its stabilizer really helps with shooting on the move, allowing me to be more aggressive and flank unsuspecting enemies. I try to always be aware of my surroundings, anticipating where the next enemy 'Tiger' might pop up. Map knowledge is key during an 'open season' – knowing the common routes and choke points can turn a good game into an exceptional one. Another crucial aspect of maintaining an 'open season' is teamwork. Even when you're on a roll, having good teammates who can spot enemies or even act as a 'TanX Rescuer' can extend your rampage. There's nothing worse than getting caught out of position when you're having an epic run. I've had moments where a timely assist from a teammate saved my hide, allowing me to continue my 'Tiger Hunting' spree. So, if you want to experience your own 'open season' in War Thunder, here’s my advice: Know Your Tank: Understand its strengths and weaknesses. Don't push a heavy tank like a light scout, and vice versa. Map Awareness: Learn the maps. Where are the best sniping spots? Where are the common flanking routes? Target Priority: Go for the biggest threats first, or those that are most vulnerable. Aim for weak spots! Stay Calm: Even when you’re racking up kills, don’t get overconfident. One mistake can end your streak. Practice Makes Perfect: The more you play, the better you’ll get at recognizing opportunities for an 'open season'. It's all about finding that rhythm and making every round count. Happy hunting out there, fellow tank commanders – hope you all have many 'open seasons' ahead!
