🕰️A few years ago, I didn’t even know bees needed water.💛Now a simple bee bath is one of my favorite things in the garden.👇 What’s something you’ve learned about nature recently?#mellbree #beebath #garden #mellbreecopperdisc #mellbreemagic
I used to think bees only needed flowers for nectar, but I recently learned that water is equally important for their daily survival. Providing a bee bath is a small but impactful way to support bees, especially during hot or dry periods when natural water sources can be scarce. Creating a bee bath doesn't require much effort or cost. I filled a shallow dish with clean water and placed small pebbles inside to give the bees safe landing spots. This prevents them from drowning and makes it easier for them to drink. Placing the bath near flowering plants encourages more bee visits, helping pollination in the garden. Maintaining the bath is simple; I change the water daily to keep it fresh and clean. You can also add a few drops of natural sugar water occasionally to attract more bees. Watching the bees gather around the bath has not only enhanced my garden’s health but also brought a sense of joy and connection to nature. If you’re passionate about gardening or want to support local pollinators, I highly recommend trying a tiny bee bath. It’s a small act that makes a big difference.
