Ai should be banned
With everything we know about Ai, what it’s being used for (and removing all the guardrails that could prevent it), and what it’s destroying— no one should use it. Period. And quite frankly, it’s sad that people use it at all. We should fix our other systems so that human beings aren’t turning to a series of 0s and 1s for emotional support. It isn’t human— it doesn’t have emotions.
The debate around banning AI often centers on the profound effects this technology has on society and individual well-being. From personal observation, many people tend to over-rely on AI systems for tasks traditionally requiring human empathy and judgment, which can lead to detachment from genuine human interactions. AI, being driven by code and algorithms, cannot truly understand emotions or provide authentic comfort — it simply processes data in binary form. Moreover, the removal of guardrails in AI development heightens the risk of misuse, misinformation, and unethical outcomes. Without strict regulations, AI can amplify harmful biases, invade privacy, and contribute to job displacement, fueling social unrest. This technological overreach can fundamentally alter our human experience, stripping away the nuances of empathy and moral responsibility. Fixing existing societal systems—such as improving mental health support, education, and social services—can reduce dependency on AI for emotional and cognitive needs. Human connection and understanding remain irreplaceable, and fostering these aspects is crucial in a world increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence. The phrase "AI is a plague on humanity" captures the frustration and fear many feel about the unchecked expansion of AI technology.
