Garden lessons for men
Gardening lessons for men. Lesson 2. You can’t add fertilizer all the time or every day to the garden. You will burn the plants and they won’t survive. It does more harm than good to fertilize too often. 🌱 For healthy plant growth, you need to give the garden and soil some rest and only fertilize occasionally when it’s really needed. Save this gardening tip so you won’t forget.

From my gardening journey, I've realized that less is more when it comes to fertilizer. Many beginners, including myself, thought applying fertilizer daily would speed up growth, but it often caused the opposite effect. Plants got stressed, and their leaves wilted or yellowed. A good practice is to observe your plants and soil closely — only fertilize when the leaves show pale colors or growth slows down noticeably. Also, consider using organic compost occasionally to enrich the soil naturally and support long-term garden health. Additionally, watering habits affect fertilizer use. Overwatering can wash nutrients away, so balance is key. I try to fertilize during the cooler parts of the day to avoid burning delicate leaves in direct sunlight. The garden benefits most when it has time to absorb nutrients and rebuild soil microbes between feedings. This rest period fosters stronger roots and healthier plants. Remember, patience is your friend in gardening. Taking these steps has led to a thriving garden filled with lush, vibrant plants!
