Actually, they are totally different.

Orange peel = just regular fruit skin

Chenpi = a carefully selected, traditionally used herbal and culinary ingredient

It requires:

Specific citrus varieties

A particular origin (for example, Xinhui in Guangdong, China)

Professional processing

Long-term aging – the older it is, the more valued it becomes
