Things I wish someone had told me before entering my first trimester 🤍

6 days agoEdited to

... Read moreEntering the first trimester can feel like navigating a whirlwind of emotions and physical changes that you might not expect. One of the biggest surprises is the level of exhaustion you can experience. Despite getting a full night's sleep, you might still feel like you could nap all day. This deep fatigue is your body’s way of supporting the rapid development happening inside. Morning sickness is another challenge to prepare for—it’s not limited to just the morning, as many believe. It can strike at any time of day, sometimes lasting all day long. Having easy access to small, bland snacks or plant-based options can help manage nausea when it hits. Before any visible bump appears, your body is already undergoing significant changes such as bloating, sore breasts, and mood swings. It’s important to recognize these as normal signs of pregnancy and give yourself grace during this time. Emotional fluctuations—jumping from excitement to anxiety in a matter of moments—are completely normal and part of the journey. Lastly, staying connected with a community or following pregnancy-focused forums and hashtags like #firsttrimester, #morningsickness, and #pregnancytips can provide valuable support and advice. Embracing this period with patience and a gentle mindset can make the journey more manageable and even joyful as you discover the beauty of new life growing within you.
