... Read moreMy journey as a doula and birth coach began with a deep passion for empowering families through one of life's most profound experiences: childbirth. I've had the privilege of supporting countless individuals and couples, and what I've learned is that every birth is unique, deserving of personalized, compassionate care. Many expecting parents seek support during childbirth, and that's exactly where a doula can make an incredible difference. From the moment you decide to welcome new life, having a constant, nurturing presence can alleviate anxieties and build confidence. My role isn't medical; instead, I focus on providing continuous emotional, physical, and informational support. This means I'm there to offer comfort measures like massage and counter-pressure, suggest position changes, help you understand your options, and advocate for your birth preferences. I’ve seen firsthand how this support can transform a challenging moment into an empowering one, helping you navigate the sensations of labor with greater ease and focus. For those considering a home delivery pregnancy, the support of a doula becomes even more integral. While I don't deliver babies, I help create a calm, supportive environment for you and your chosen medical professionals. I assist with preparing your space, ensuring you have everything you need, and providing continuous reassurance. My goal is to empower you to feel safe and confident in your home environment, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the birthing process. I can guide you through different stages, suggest techniques for pain management, and ensure your partner feels supported in their role too. It’s about building a team around you that respects your wishes and helps you achieve the birth experience you envision. Embracing a vaginal birth is a powerful choice, and my support is geared towards helping you achieve it comfortably and confidently. I share evidence-based information on various pain coping mechanisms, breathing techniques, and relaxation strategies that can be incredibly effective. We'll work together to explore different labor positions that can optimize fetal descent and reduce discomfort. I also involve partners actively, providing them with tools and confidence to support you effectively, whether through physical touch, verbal encouragement, or simply being a loving presence. My hope is to help you feel strong, resilient, and in control throughout your labor, trusting your body's innate ability to birth. My support extends beyond the birthing room. I offer postpartum care to help ease the transition into parenthood, providing emotional support, practical assistance, and resources for newborn care. Lactation support is also a significant part of my services, as I believe in empowering parents to achieve their feeding goals, whatever they may be. And yes, dad coaching is something I'm very passionate about! Partners play a crucial role, and helping them feel confident and connected to the process strengthens the entire family unit. I believe in personalized, inclusive care for all families, including LGBTQIA+ parents, and strive to make my services accessible through sliding scale options and flexible payment plans. My ultimate aim is to ensure every family feels seen, heard, and deeply supported through their unique journey.

Positive birth story!
It was the morning after my birthday, and I woke up with 3 minute apart yet painless contractions. It was strange how they were back to back, but I planned on spending the day as normal. I walked my dog, made invoices and phone calls, and decided, well if this is real, I might as well clean the who
