textbooks I used in med school- a recommendation 🫀

In this post, we will review the medical textbooks we used to like very much ~ Anyone with other books can recommend in the comments 😍

🧫 Atlas of Histology - is a volume with both labeled diagrams and very clear histology slides. We use this volume to read histology most often. Easy to read.

💪🏻 Grant's Dissector - It should be read before dissecting the principal every time!! There are instructions and accompanying pictures that clearly explain how to dissect.

🎨 Netter's Anatomy Coloring Book - When we don't take notes, we pick this up. It's a really fun review because we paint. We use it when studying muscle blocks. We like that in the book there are summaries of each region of muscle.

Moore's Essential Clinical Anatomy - It's the anatomy book we use most often. We really like diagrams in this book. A lot of details but good content arrangement. Easy to read. There are clinical correlations too.

🩻 Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology - We like that this book writes the learning objectives of each chapter very clearly. The content is summarized, so easy to read + has clinical correlations.

🩺 Physiology - I really like that this book has exercises to do at the end of the chapter. This diagrams will not be as many as other books, but the content is easy to read. Who is rudimentary physiology, we recommend this book.

🫁 Anatomy: A Photograhy Atlas - is an anatomy book with gross images. We use principal dissection to identify structures during dissection. We like to use images from this book in anki flashcards.
