Bonne Bay Weekend: From Glaciers to Cocktails 🌊 1
Spent Friday to Sunday exploring Bonne Bay, Newfoundland — a weekend filled with fjord views, quiet harbours, and stories written in both ice and history. We wandered trails like Burnt Hill and Sheep Path, spotted ducks by the bay, and learned about the journey from canoes to cruise ships, Captain James Cook’s charts, and communities forged along the coast. Glaciers carved the valleys (Scrat from Ice Age would approve 🐿️❄️), while spruce budworm reminded us that even tiny insects leave a mark. The Bonne Bay Aquarium showed us whales, fish, and colourful marine life, wildflowers brightened the trails, and Woody Point added charm with its colourful harbour. Ended it all with a local touch — a Bonne Bay Breeze at the Cat Stop Pub. 🍹✨ Thanks for watching our little travel diary!
