for the girls who feel everything too deeply

some nights, everything just feels a little heavier.

the texts you forgot to answer.

the things you didn’t finish.

the feeling that everyone else is moving forward while you’re just trying to keep up.

and somehow, you still feel guilty for being tired.

but maybe you don’t need to fix your whole life tonight.

maybe you just need a warm drink, a quiet room, and permission to do absolutely nothing.

you’re allowed to have days when simply existing is enough. 🤍

save this for a night when your mind won’t slow down.

what’s one little thing that makes you feel better after a hard day? 🥹

... Read moreLiving with intense emotions can often feel exhausting, especially when it seems like everyone else is effortlessly moving forward in life. I've personally walked through those nights when your mind won’t stop racing, the texts you forgot to answer weigh on you, and the unfinished tasks clutter your thoughts. It’s easy to fall into the trap of guilt for being tired or not being productive. One thing I've found helpful is embracing the idea that resting is productive too. Even when you feel emotionally sensitive and overwhelmed, giving yourself permission to slow down is a powerful act of kindness towards yourself. For example, sipping a warm drink feels like a comforting hug — it soothes your nervous system and creates a small moment of calm. Another small but impactful practice is spending even 10 minutes in sunlight, which can brighten your mood, even on gray days. Taking a short walk or moving your body gently redirects mental energy and helps alleviate some of the heaviness you might be feeling. Writing out your thoughts can clear the noise in your mind and provide clarity. Reminding yourself that "I'm doing my best, and that is enough" can help shift self-critical thoughts into compassionate ones. Every day you show up and try, you’re making progress, no matter how small it feels. It’s important to recognize that progress looks different for everyone, and sometimes the most important progress is just being present with your feelings and allowing yourself to rest. These softer, slower moments are necessary for healing and recharging. So on those nights when everything feels heavier, remember you don’t need to fix it all at once. A quiet room, a warm beverage, and permission to do absolutely nothing can be exactly what you need. These simple acts of self-care help redefine what productivity means and honor the deeply sensitive heart you have.
