Having lived with type 3c diabetes since infancy, I’ve come to deeply understand the complex nature of this condition, which is often misunderstood by many, including some educators. Type 3c diabetes is caused by damage to the pancreas due to illness, surgery, or other factors, and managing it requires constant monitoring and lifestyle adjustments. Beyond the medical aspect, the emotional toll of losing close family members at a young age profoundly shaped my outlook on life. When you face such losses as in the case of losing a mom and sibling early on, as well as dealing with personal health battles, it becomes essential to find strength within and build a support system around you. Sharing my experiences on platforms like TikTok has not only helped me connect with others facing similar challenges but also raised awareness about less common diabetic conditions and the importance of understanding mental and emotional health alongside physical health.
